Where to Donate Furniture in Chilliwack

Looking to donate furniture in Chilliwack? Whether you're moving, downsizing, or just clearing space, here are the best options for donating tables, chairs, shelves, desks, and other small furniture in the Chilliwack area.

1. Raba Thrift Store — Drop Off or Free Pickup, 7 Days a Week

Raba Thrift Store takes furniture donations at 46191 Yale Rd, Chilliwack, open 10 AM to 7 PM, 7 days a week, and is the only thrift store in Chilliwack that also offers completely free furniture pickup 7 days a week with no minimum. Furniture is accepted on selected items only — tables, chairs, shelves, desks, nightstands, and small accent pieces are the kinds of things we look at, but every piece is a case-by-case call. Send us a photo on WhatsApp first and we'll confirm before you load anything into the truck. Drop-off is the fastest option; if you can't haul it, schedule a free pickup at rabathrift.ca/pickup. Every donor receives a 30% off coupon. We serve Chilliwack, Sardis, Yarrow, and Cultus Lake.

2. Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Habitat for Humanity operates a ReStore in the Fraser Valley that accepts furniture donations. They offer free curbside pickup for items in excellent condition, but items must be smoke-free, pet-hair-free, and placed within 20 feet of the curb. Availability is limited and scheduling can take 1-2 weeks.

3. Salvation Army Thrift Store

The Salvation Army in Chilliwack accepts some furniture donations at their drop-off location. Pickup service is limited and may not be available for all items. They primarily accept small furniture in good condition.

4. MCC Thrift Shop

The MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) Thrift Shop in Chilliwack accepts furniture drop-offs during business hours. They generally don't offer pickup service. Items must be clean and in usable condition.

What Furniture Is NOT Accepted Anywhere

Most thrift stores in Chilliwack, Raba Thrift Store included, cannot accept sofas, couches, beds, mattresses, or box springs. Those four categories are a flat no almost everywhere, because they take up enormous floor space and rarely resell. Other large hard-surface pieces — dressers, armoires, cabinets, entertainment units — are case by case at Raba rather than an automatic no: send a photo on WhatsApp to +1 778-551-2023 and we will tell you before you load it. For the categories nobody takes, contact the City of Chilliwack's waste and recycling services or a junk removal company.
