The best time to request a free pickup is 3–5 days before your move-out date. This gives you time to sort what you're keeping, selling, and donating. Send us your contact details and what you have, and Raba Thrift Store calls you within 24 hours to confirm what we can take and agree on a time — even last-minute requests when possible.
What Should You Put on Your Moving Donation Checklist?
Bedroom: clothing you haven't worn in a year, clean linens and towels in good condition (not pillows, duvets, or mattresses), shoes, accessories. Living room: side tables, shelving units, lamps, DVDs, video games, vinyl records. Kitchen: extra dishes, pots, pans, utensils, small working appliances. Garage: tools, sports equipment, books, vintage finds. Kids' rooms: outgrown clothing, toys, books. Any furniture on that list is selected items only — send Raba Thrift Store a photo on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before moving day. Mattresses, box springs, sofas and couches, and beds are always a no.

How far in advance should I schedule?

Can you pick up on weekends?
Yes — we offer pickup 7 days a week, including weekends. Many people prefer Saturday or Sunday pickups before a Monday move.
What if I'm not sure what you accept?
Fill out the form and describe what you have, or send photos on WhatsApp — that's fastest. Raba Thrift Store generally accepts clothing, working electronics, books, housewares, and vintage items. Furniture is selected items only and confirmed from a photo first; mattresses, box springs, sofas and couches, and beds are always a no.
Is there a pickup fee for large quantities?
Never. Whether it's one bag or ten boxes, pickup is completely free. No fees, no minimum, no maximum for standard pickups.
