We may accept these — confirm first. Raba Thrift Store takes selected furniture only, and what we can take depends on size, condition, and how much floor space we have that week. Send a photo before you load anything up.

Items We Don't Accept

For safety and quality reasons, we cannot accept the following items.

Sofas, beds & mattresses

Couches, sofas, sectionals, beds, headboards, mattresses, box springs. Other large pieces — dressers, armoires, cabinets — are case by case: send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll confirm

Phones, laptops & computers

We do not accept or sell any phones, laptops, tablets, or computers

Broken or heavily damaged items

Items that can't be used or resold safely

Stained or soiled clothing

Clothing with permanent stains, tears, or strong odors

Mattresses & pillows

For hygiene and safety reasons

Recalled products

Items subject to manufacturer or government recall

Hazardous materials

Paint, chemicals, batteries, propane tanks, motor oil

Underwear & swimwear

For hygiene reasons — no exceptions

Car seats & cribs

Expired or non-compliant safety gear cannot be resold

What items does Raba Thrift Store accept?▼

Raba Thrift Store accepts clothing, shoes, accessories, books, DVDs, vinyl, small electronics and appliances, housewares, décor, and vintage or collectible finds. Selected furniture is accepted too, but furniture is confirmed by photo before you bring it in.

What condition do donated items need to be in?▼

Gently used and ready to resell. Clothing should be clean, odour-free, and without permanent stains or tears. Electronics and appliances must be working. We cannot accept broken, soiled, or recalled items, or underwear and swimwear.

Do you accept furniture?▼

Only selected furniture, and only after we confirm it. Send a photo on WhatsApp to (778) 551-2023 and we'll tell you yes or no before you load anything up. Mattresses, box springs, sofas, couches, and beds are always a no.

Should I drop off my donation or book a free pickup?▼

Dropping off is fastest — walk in at 46191 Yale Rd, Chilliwack during store hours, no appointment needed, and our staff will help you unload. Book a free pickup instead if you have a large or heavy load, or no way to transport it.

Do I get anything for donating?▼

Yes. Raba Thrift Store gives donors a 30% off coupon for their next purchase, whether you drop your items off in store or we pick them up.

Do you buy items, or only take donations?▼

We buy clothing. Raba Thrift Store pays cash by weight, and the rate depends on the quality of what you bring, so we can't quote a price before we see the items. Really good pieces — brand-name, designer, or like-new — can be bought individually, priced on condition. Everything else, including furniture, is donation only.
