Chilliwack, Yarrow, Sardis, and the farming communities around them have long-established households — places where families have been in the same house for generations and where attics, barns, and basements accumulated decades of things nobody threw out. When one of those homes gets cleared, what comes out is very different from what turns up in a newer suburb: pre-war kitchenware, working clothes, mid-century glass, and records that have sat undisturbed since they were bought.
